Originally by: Alowishus I think the thing about this arguing is that MC is very good at ganks and they are able to deffend this strategy by saying that they are paid to kill people, not have "fair, honorable, virtually arranged fleet battles." But they make these announcements on the forums that come across as*****y and an insistance of superiority against their contract. It's not going to get anyone anywhere because Selene is still going to do her RP, as she always has, and IMP isn't going to accept that MC is "superior" when they use gank tactics. So why don't we all just **** off and not look like asses?
Don't buy the IMP hype. A large proportion of these 'ganks' are conducted when we're outnumbered heavily in local. I sometimes wonder what people class as a 'gank'. Is it a 'gank' when we use Cov Ops to warp 2-3 inties on top of a ship that has strayed away from the pack, kill it, and then warp out quickly? I accept that this way of working isn't the same a stand up equal numbers fight, but it's hardly the same as sitting 50 people on a gate and insta-ganking any lone ship that turns up (which is what most people would accept to be the standard 'gank' scenario).

I think you're mixing up smack and cold hard facts. It's an easy mistake to make admittedly, especially when you're an alt. ----------------------------------------

There was a little incident this morning that shows just how wrong the smack coming from IMP is:
We had 3 AFs in Orvolle(A Wolf and two Enyos); IMP were camping the PF gate with a Raven and an Apoc. We thought 'what the hell' and engaged. The Raven died and the Apoc warped on 6% structure. We lost an Enyo. It was a damn good fight. Afterwards we had a nice friendly chat in local.
Now, to me this indicates 2 things:
1. We are perfectly willing to engage when the odds are significantly against us.
2. Dark Assassins are some of the only people in IMP who seem to be capable of behaving in a gracious and sportsmanlike manner. ----------------------------------------
